Have you heard of ARFS? It’s the Association of Retired Faculty and Staff of Western Carolina University!
The Association meets several times each year, and the fee for joining is only $10.00. At their most recent meeting, they gathered at the Apodaca Building for a luncheon hosted by Chancellor Kelli R. Brown. At the luncheon, she shared campus updates with the group. The Association also elected new officers for the coming year. The new slate of officers is: Mark Haskett, Pam Meister, Terry Welch and Cindy Nicholson.
The new slate of officers wishes to grow the organization by inviting all retirees to join us. We are in the beginning stages of planning the coming year and will have additional information available after the start of the fall semester. The Fall luncheon has been scheduled for October 16. This is a great way to stay connected to former colleagues and be involved with the University.
