WCU Forward EHIPs: A Call for Proposals to Advance High-Impact Student Learning

The Expanding High Impact Practices (EHIPs) Faculty Forward Committee has announced a call for proposals for the WCU Forward EHIPs. This project was funded through last year’s QEP selection process for the next three years. The goals of the project are (1) to support high impact practices (HIPs) on campus, (2) to increase the number of students participating in HIPs, and (3) to improve and assess the educational value of HIPs. While HIPs have historically been related to the college curriculum, they can occur in any activity that involves students if that activity meets specific criteria. We encourage proposals from faculty and staff from anywhere on campus where students are learning or working.

Please review the call for proposals (including a funding rubric) and the application. The deadline for proposals that address activities to take place in the spring semester 2027 is November 23rd. Please send proposals to dkinner@wcu.edu for consideration. There will be an additional call for proposals in spring 2027, which will be for HIPs to be used in summer and fall 2027.
