by Haze Helms and Caylen Dobson
Book Summary
Our book was I Survived D-Day. In this book a teenager named Paul who lived in France. He got attacked by the Nazis and the Resistance came to help save France. The Nazis capture Paul but, luckily the Resistance send a messenger pigeon to save him. This is how we got the idea of using a tree and a ramp. When the pigeon saved Paul the Resistance was able to defeat the Nazis. The Resistance is a secret team that fought against the Nazis.
Category One
We brainstormed multiple ideas and decided to invent ramps that attaches to trees to allow the Resistance to ambush the Nazis. We made a diorama and an advertisement to show how the ramp would work.
Haze & Caylen,
I am very intrigued with your idea. A lot of inventions have stemmed from military operations. I like the creative approach you took to develop a solution. Good work.

I hope the world never has use for this idea, but if they did, it is a great one. I’d like to see how it works in a movie about war, but not for real!
Thanks for your creativity.
