There is a critical blood shortage in Western NC, and this summer, CCESL, the American Red Cross, and Campus Activities are partnering to host two blood drives at WCU! These drives are open to all WCU staff, faculty, students, and community members. Please consider donating, sharing the information within your networks and on social media, and inviting your friends and family to donate too!

The blood drives will take place on June 25th (10:00 am – 3:30 pm) and July 16th (10:00 am – 3:00 pm) on WCU’s main campus in the University Center Multipurpose Room. Community members who would like to donate can park for free in the metered lot behind the University Center.

Donors will also receive a voucher for free ice cream at Campus Activities’ Ice Cream Socials on Wednesdays during the summer!

To reserve your spot, please visit the American Red Cross and use Sponsor Code: CATS to make your appointment. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome!

If you would like to volunteer to help during the drive, this is a great use of your Community Service Leave hours (if applicable), and you never have to leave campus! To volunteer, please sign up using the attached links for JUNE and JULY.

Thanks for your continued support of CCESL and our community!
