CCESL is looking for volunteers for the 2025 Mountain Heritage Days festivities from Monday, September 22 – Saturday, September 27, 2025. The festival now spans an entire week, featuring newly added programming such as evening faculty-led lectures and activities, heritage demonstrators on the plaza, and a Friday night concert at Bridge Park in Sylva.   

Mountain Heritage Days will culminate with the MHD festival on Saturday, September 27th from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. To ensure that this event is a success, we need A LOT of volunteers. We’d love your help in spreading the word about recruitment opportunities during the event. Whether it’s sharing with your classes, student groups, or signing up to volunteer yourself, your support can help us showcase all that WCU has to offer. Sign up here! 

Volunteers who participate in the event have the opportunity to:

  • Earn volunteer hours  
  • Get a free t-shirt and snacks  
  • Meet new people and have fun!  

There are a variety of roles available—from helping with crafts and kids’ activities to assisting performers and vendors. No experience needed!
