WCU Staff Senate is excited to share that the Janet B. Royster (JBR) Memorial Staff Scholarship Fund will be accepting applications from August 15 through September 30!
This scholarship honors the legacy of Janet B. Royster, whose leadership and dedication to UNC System employees continue to inspire us. Since its inception, the fund has awarded 186 scholarships totaling over $130,000, supporting the professional growth of our staff across the UNC System.
Thanks to the continued efforts of the UNC Staff Assembly and the success of the Chancellor’s Cup Golf Tournaments, we are proud to offer awards of up to $1,000 per institution, for the 2025–2026 academic year. These funds can be used for:
- Tuition and fees
- Books and course materials
- Conference registration
- Certificate programs
- Other professional development activities
This opportunity is open to permanent, full-time, non-faculty employees of the UNC System. Whether you’re pursuing a degree, attending a workshop, or expanding your skills through a certificate program, this scholarship is designed to help you grow.
