Apply Now – Less than $3,000 Remain in the Professional Development Fund
Hey Catamounts! Quick headsup for anyone thinking about attending a conference, taking a workshop, or jumping into a new training opportunity this year: there’s less than $3,000 left in the Staff Senate Professional Development Fund. If you’ve been planning to apply, now’s the time to go for it.
What the Fund Covers
The Professional Development Fund was created to help staff access meaningful growth opportunities when departmental budgets might not stretch far enough. Eligible activities include things like workshops, seminars, conferences, trainings, and certificate programs, plus related travel when it meets WCU guidelines.
Awards are available for up to $500 for individuals and $750 for departments each fiscal year. Applications just need to show how the opportunity supports your current role or career goals and how it benefits your department and WCU. (Individuals must be employed by WCU for at least one year in a full-time capacity to be eligible.)
