As part of the NC DOT Adopt-A-Highway program, Staff Senate has adopted Old Cullowhee Rd from the intersection of Hwy 107 to Bayside Dr. Our first roadside litter pickup will be Friday, October 8th 10 am to noon as part of Homecoming Week. Caravans will leave campus around 9:45 am. Cleanup is expected to take approximately 2 hours.
Please wear comfortable clothing that can get dirty, shoes appropriate for walking a mile, and sun protection such as hat and sunglasses. Vests, gloves, trash bags and water will be provided. Details regarding meetup locations for carpools will be forthcoming. Event open to anyone age 18 and older. Please feel free to share with friends and co-workers who may want to join the effort.
