Staff Senate will be doing a “Meet the Senator” series this academic year, letting all staff know who their Staff Senators are. In the spotlight this week is Brandy Henning. Brandy is an IT Project Manager at WCU and this is her first year on Staff Senate. Western feels like home to Brandy. She states “it is a wonderful environment that encourages growth as a student and as an employee.” Her favorite part of her job is that she gets to work with many departments across campus. She enjoys getting to learn about each department and getting to know more individuals across campus. A fun fact about Brandy is that she taught herself how to Can and she loves learning new methods to preserve foods. Her favorite thing to Can is salsa. We love having Brandy on Staff Senate. She has already done so much in the short amount of time she has been on Senate and we are lucky to have her!
